광운대학교 대학원은 역사가 있습니다. 광운대는 1934년 화도 조광운 박사에 의해 설립된 조선무선강습소에서 부터 시작되었습니다. 이후 1979년 석·박사급의 고급 인재 양성을 위해 대학원이 설립되었고 지금까지 7,600명 이상의 석·박사급 고급 인재를 배출하였습니다. 광운대학교 대학원은 대한민국을 넘어 글로벌 첨단 연구를 수행하는 대학원입니다.
광운대학교 대학원은 학문을 선도하는 대학입니다. 인공지능, 반도체, 로봇, 스마트 건축 등 첨단 공학 분야, 물리, 화학, 수학 등 자연과학 분야, 경영, 통상, 행정, 법학, 산업심리 등 인문사회 분야 등 에서 교수님들과 학생들이 협력하여 전문적이며 심화된 학문을 연구하고 있습니다.
광운대학교 대학원은 체계적인 인재 양성을 하고 있습니다. 현재 49개 개설 학과에 940여 명의 재학생으로 구성되어 있으며, 석사과정, 박사과정, 석박사통합과정의 체계적인 고급인재 양성 체계를 갖추고 있습니다. 또한 국방AI로봇융합학과, 방산AI로봇융합학과 등 계약학과와 2개의 4단계 BK21 사업 등 다양한 정부 지원 대학원 인재 양성 사업도 활발히 수행되고 있습니다.
광운대학교 대학원은 우수한 졸업생을 배출하고 있습니다. 지난 45년여 동안 배출된 7,600여 명의 졸업생들은 국내 산학연의 다양한 기업·기관에서 핵심 인력으로서 활발히 활동하고 있습니다. 특히, 우리 대학원에서 교육받고 공학박사학위를 취득한 인공지능 전문가인 배경훈 박사가 2025년 과학기술정보통신부 장관에 취임한 것은 우리 대학원의 우수한 교육 프로그램과 인재양성 체계를 명확히 보여주고 있습니다.
광운대학교 대학원은 계속 발전하고 있습니다. 현재 300여 명의 우수한 교수진과 940여 명의 대학원생이 혁신의 미래를 위해 멈추지 않고 끊임없는 노력을 경주하고 있습니다.

Welcome to the Graduate School of Kwangwoon University, one of Korea’s leading institutions in advanced education and research. Kwangwoon University was established in 1934 by Dr. Kwangwoon Cho, a visionary who anticipated the age of electronics and information technology. With its strong roots in engineering and a spirit of diligence, frugality, and inquiry, the university has grown into a “smaller but stronger” institution at the forefront of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, driving innovation through the convergence of ICT, advanced science, humanities, and social sciences.
The Graduate School was founded in 1979 to nurture highly specialized, well-rounded professionals prepared for an AI-driven, information-centric future. Starting with just 36 students, we now support around 1,000 master's and doctoral candidates, including a significant number of international scholars, all committed to academic excellence and personal growth.
Today, we offer master’s, doctoral, and integrated programs across 45 departments. Our curriculum fosters creativity and excellence, guided by a distinguished faculty who not only conduct cutting-edge research but also uphold the university’s strong academic reputation. We continue to enhance our infrastructure through expanded scholarship opportunities, active industry-academia-research collaboration, and innovative educational programs.
